Las Vegas DUI Attorney Paul J. Adras

DUI Attorney Paul Adras is a native Nevadan.  He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1965.  Paul is a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School (1983), the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (1989) and the William S. Boyd School of Law (2003).

Paul has a diverse academic as well as professional background, which has served his clients well.  While at UNLV, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences and a minor in chemistry.  He began his professional career with the Clark County Health District (CCHD) in 1990, where he was instrumental in the implementation of the CCHD hazardous waste management program.  In 1991, Mr. Adras left the CCHD for the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP), becoming the first environmental scientist hired by NDEP to regulate the management of hazardous waste in southern Nevada.

Over the years, he managed a professional staff of the Division’s highly technical hazardous waste compliance and enforcement program in southern Nevada, and became the interim office manager of the Division’s Las Vegas Office in 2002, overseeing the bureaus of air quality management, waste management, water resources, corrective actions, and federal facilities.  During that time, Mr. Adras investigated a number of alleged environmental crimes, and even testified in court as an expert witness on behalf of the State of Nevada during the prosecution of an environmental crime.

In 2003, Paul graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law, where he earned the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Law School Community.  While in law school, Paul served as President of the Christian Legal Society, and as Secretary of the Environmental Law Society.  He began his legal career in 2003, and since then has practiced primarily in the areas of criminal defense, construction defect litigation, toxic mold litigation, personal injury, environmental law, business litigation and legal consultations.  He has extensive experience in toxic mold litigation, and has lectured to home builders and government agencies on this subject.  He has also made numerous presentations over the years to various groups regarding a broad range of environmental topics.

In 2006-2007, Mr. Adras served on the Nevada Test Site Community Advisory Board, which is comprised of volunteers who represent Nevada stakeholders by reviewing and commenting on environmental restoration (i.e. groundwater contamination, historic nuclear test area clean-up, etc.) and waste management (i.e. radioactive waste transportation and disposal) activities at the Nevada Test Site.  He is a Registered Hazardous Substances Professional (RHSP), a credential he has held for well over a decade, through the National Environmental Health Association.

The practice of law, and particularly the practice of criminal and DUI defense law, is both a science and an art.  Paul has tried a number of criminal jury trials and misdemeanor bench trials, and has conducted a number of felony preliminary hearings.  He also has an extensive civil litigation background.  Paul's hands-on and practical scientific background, combined with his practical courtroom experience, enables him to provide high quality representation and achieve excellent results.

Paul is a licensed foster parent, and is married with four children and one foster child.  Paul is admitted to practice in all of the State Courts of Nevada, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. He has represented clients throughout Nevada in Clark, Nye and Washoe counties.
